ABOUT HENRY

My work is an exploration of the "hypernormal landscape," where I use light, shadow, and physical interventions in the canvas to cross the gap between digital simulation and the tactile, often isolating, nature of human memory.

I use online 3d modeling programs to build spaces, here symbols are carved and open shadows. I paint the digital to give them a human touch. There are sometimes technical, poetic and even useful.  

Layers of dripped paint, literal or optical cuts on the canvas to create these spaces where these characters engage with each other showing the tension of these man made spaces.
